Harmony Test
Non-Invasive Parental Test (NIPT) - Harmony
Prenatal test for pregnant women of any age or risk category:
Available for Singleton and Twin pregnancies.
Suitable for IVF and natural pregnancies.
Assesses for:
- Trisomy 21 (Downs Syndrome)
- Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome)
- Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome)
- Sex of baby
- Turner Syndrome (XO)
- Triple X Syndrome (XXX)
- Kleinfelters Syndrome (XXY)
Advise the Patient:
Patients need to be 10 weeks pregnant confirmed by a dating scan.
They will need to bring it with them for confirmation. Harmony test cannot be done without dating confirmation.

TD Appointment:
Confirm dating of pregnancy
Bloods taken
Patients informed results may take up 5-7 working days.
They will receive a phone call with the results from Dr Dickson and then will receive a paper copy by post for their maternity records.
Abnormal results:
Will be discussed by Dr Dickson with the patient
Onward referral for further discussion will be made to Specialist Fetal Medicine Midwives
