Breast augmentation surgery typically takes two hours or less to complete and is performed under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia combined with a sedative. The procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis removing the need for an overnight stay in hospital.
Following surgery patients can expect some pain and discomfort, this can be managed with medication. Minor bruising, swelling and a numb sensation will likely affect the breasts and nipples within the first few weeks after your procedure. Sutures are dissolving however our team schedule a post operative wound check for 5-7 days post surgery. You are usually able to return to normal routines within a few days to a week.
