Cameron completed his undergraduate and postgraduate surgical training in Edinburgh at the Royal, Western General Hospital and St John’s Hospital in Livingston, where he developed his interest in plastic surgery.
This was followed by a short period in Canniesburn, plastic surgery unit, Glasgow, before undertaking a two year plastic surgery research degree in Sydney, Australia.
He then returned to the North East of England to complete his higher surgical training programme in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. As a nationally appointed fellow in oncoplastic breast surgery he further extended his breast surgery experience.
On completion of his training programme he was awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons, England a BASO oncoplastic travelling scholarship to the university hospitals in Gent, Belgium and the Crawford Long Hospital, Atlanta, USA.
While in the States he spent an enjoyable time working within a purely aesthetics practice in California. In the States he consolidated his experience in facial aesthetic surgery including, face-lifting, brow lifting, eyelid rejuvenation surgery, body contouring in particular after weight loss surgery.
Cameron specialises in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and also offers transgender top surgery for both FTM and MTF patients at Cosmedicare.
